Iowa PGA Junior’s Win Cobra Puma Junior Cup Matches-
Edwardsville, Illinois – The Iowa PGA Junior’s defeated the Gateway PGA Junior’s 17 points to 15 points in the Cobra Puma Junior Cup Matches at Sunset Hills Country Club. This marks three wins for the Iowa PGA Junior’s. Back in 2017 Iowa PGA and Gateway PGA tied. Fantastic work by both the Iowa PGA Juniors and Gateway PGA Juniors for battling the past two-days. Congratulations to the Iowa PGA Juniors!

Saturday, June 29, 2024 –
The Iowa PGA Junior’s won 3.5 points and the Gateway PGA Junior’s won 4.5 points in the Fourball.
The morning started off with Four-Ball Matches. The Iowa PGA Junior’s won three matches and the Gateway Junior’s led 4.5 to 3.5 in the morning. The three matches the Iowa PGA Junior’s won were with Logan Otting and Cody Weaver defeating Austin Rinkenberger and Cohen Vierling, 3 & 2. Addison Eckhardt and Jaylee Shaffer defeated Annie Rothery and Mia Emig, 3 & 2. Andrew Vollbeer and Jonathan Ward defeated Kaiden Hermann and Leo Miller, 1 up. The teams of Saleah Vivanh-Vonga and Brooklyn Lee and Yelena Williams and Isabella Buckley, all tied each other.
The teams of Evan Schofield and Jack McCarty were defeated by Alex Siatos and Samuel Ottwell, 7 & 5. Jackson Buchanan and Jack Rogers were defeated by Cole Packingham and Keegan Reed, 3 & 2. Lauren Briggs and Hannah Graves were defeated by Anna Bell and Cydney Beckmann, 2 up. Kirsten Nuss and Lilana Graham were defeated by Haley Castello and Skylar Mann, 6 & 5.
The afternoon session featured Foursome (Alternate Shot) matches.
Cody Weaver and Saleah Vivnah-Vong defeated Yelena Williams and Cole Packingham, 1 up. Jackson Buchanan and Brooklyn Lee defeated Cohen Vierling and Isabella Buckley, 1 up. Jack Rogers and Jaylee Shaffer defeated Keegan Reed and Mia Emig, 4 &2. Jonathan Ward and Kirsten Nuss defeated Leo Miller and Haley Castello, 4 &3.

Sunday, June 30, 2024-
The Iowa PGA Junior golfers won 9.5 on the final day of the Junior Cup Matches. Three of the Iowa Junior’s team members won all of three of their matches over the last two-days – Cody Weaver, Jaylee Shaffer and Jonathan Ward.
Today’s Single Matches included; Cody Weaver defeated Cole Packingham, 1 up. Jack McCarty defeated Alex Siatos, 5 & 4. Saleah Vivanh-Vong defeated Yelena Williams, 8 &7. Evan Schofield defeated Samuel Ottwell, 2 & 1. Jaylee Shaffer defeated Cydney Beckmann, 2 & 1. Jackson Buchanan defeated Keegan Reed, 1 up. Brooklyn Lee defeated Mia Emig, 6 & 4. Jonathan Ward defeated Kaiden Hermann, 2 & 1.
We had ties between Jack Rogers, Austin Rinkenberger, Andew Vollbeer, Leo Miller, Kirsten Nuss and Skylar Mann.
