I am finishing up my last semester with Florida Gulf Coast University’s PGA Golf Management program. After my graduation in July, I will have completed all necessary steps to obtain my PGA card and become a full-time golf instructor.
Golf is playing a major role in my life, as I am teaching golf to juniors, adults, seniors and people of all abilities on a day-to-day basis.
Unfortunately I am not. The program I am in is very time consuming and I have dedicated all of my time towards my education in the teaching industry so I can give back to the game.
The Iowa Junior Tour had a positive impact on my life in golf and also in building my skills such as patience, dedication, honesty, and integrity. I truly believe that golf shapes a lot of individuals lives and we learn valuable lessons through golf. The experiences I gained from the Iowa Junior Tour were memories I will never forget.
I was on the Iowa Junior Tour for over 5 seasons from 2008-2014.
In 2012 I was the Iowa Junior Tour Player of the Year.
I graduated from Park University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and am now working full-time as a Financial Services Representative at First American Bank in Fort Dodge.
Apart from continuing my education at Park University to play golf, I have continued playing golf in the Fort Dodge City Tour every year. I am also the Saint Edmond High School Girls’ Golf Coach.
I competed on the Iowa Junior Tour for over 5 years during my childhood.
I was Junior Tour Player of the Year when I was 13 years old. I won 10+ tournaments playing on the Junior Tour.
I began my first semester at Iowa State University in the Fall of 2016 and am majoring in Business.
I still practice and play golf every single day and love every minute of it. I still play competitive tournaments all over the country and I love trying to get better everyday.
I began playing collegiate golf at Iowa State University this last summer (2016).
It had a great impact on my life, being able to compete against very good competition and making many friends along the way. I learned how to compete on this tour and I met a lot of great people and great friends along the way.
This is a great tour with many well run golf tournaments that teaches kids the rules of golf and how to compete against others.
I was on the Junior Tour for 6 summers from 2010-2015.
3x Junior Tour Player of the Year 2011-2013
Played in the Optimist Junior Golf Championship
I am currently attending the University of South Dakota where I am majoring in Criminal Justice.
I continue to play golf in college and in summer tournaments while also keeping in contact with people I met on the tour.
Yes, University of South Dakota.
Yes very much. I was able to get competitive golf experience, meet new friends, and overall grow as a player in order to play golf at the next level successfully.
The junior tour is a great springboard for future golfers and a good way to get involved in the sport starting at a young age.
